Environmental Protection Initiatives
Our commitment to environmental protection has been at the core of our work since we first arrived in Rasova. From tackling illegal waste dumping to advocating for responsible use of natural resources, our initiatives aim to create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone.
One of our key focuses has been on raising awareness about pollution issues in Rasova and the surrounding areas. We have organized clean-up campaigns, collaborated with local and regional authorities, and consistently worked to bring the issue of illegal waste to the public’s attention. Our efforts have led to sanctions against those responsible for environmental violations and have inspired local residents to become more involved in caring for their community.
Our work also extends to improving infrastructure along the EuroVelo 6 route by pushing for safe camping sites and environmentally friendly services for travelers. By bridging the gap between tourism and environmental protection, we aim to ensure that tourism in our region is sustainable and benefits both the environment and the local economy.
Despite facing obstacles, such as bureaucratic resistance and lack of enforcement, we remain dedicated to our mission. Together with other like-minded individuals and organizations, we continue to fight for cleaner water, better waste management, and the preservation of our natural surroundings.

Transparency and Legal Challenges
Our NGO has always stood up for transparency, justice, and the rule of law. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to bring awareness to pressing issues affecting our community and environment, including battling corruption, fighting against the misuse of EU subsidies, and challenging abuse of power by local authorities.
Our efforts have led to numerous complaints filed with institutions on topics such as environmental protection, public health, and financial accountability. Legal action has been taken to counter illegal activities, such as unauthorized waste dumping, to protect both the environment and residents’ well-being.
Despite setbacks, we continue to push for positive change, holding institutions accountable and inspiring others to join the fight for a better future.
Connecting Communities Along the Danube
Our NGO is devoted to the development and enhancement of EuroVelo 6 along the Romanian stretch of the Danube. This project aims to transform the route into a well-equipped, sustainable cycling path that promotes eco-tourism and local culture. We’re establishing infrastructure, like campsites and information centers, to provide safer and more comfortable journeys for cyclists and tourists. Our efforts are supported by cross-border initiatives, sponsors, and a passionate community, making EuroVelo 6 a unique adventure along one of Europe’s iconic rivers.
