Review of July 2021
In July, I had important discussions regarding the Eurovelo 6 project. A meeting with the Vice President of the CJC in Constanța was very promising. We sat in a small but well-equipped meeting room, flooded with light from a large window overlooking the bustling city. The Vice President showed great interest in implementing the project. We talked for hours about the potential benefits this route could bring to the region – creating new jobs, educational opportunities for the people in the area, and the possibility of funding projects through EU grants. I remember how his eyes lit up as he spoke of the opportunities this project could bring to Constanța and the surrounding villages. For both of us, it was more than just a bike route; it was a vision for a sustainable and interconnected future where people along the Danube could benefit from economic opportunities.
I have been involved in the selection teams for funding for some time now, and it gives me the chance to actively shape the future of our region. My hope is that this work will bring positive changes to Rasova and the surrounding villages. It’s not just about infrastructure, but also about cultural exchange and fostering a new sense of community along the Eurovelo 6 route. The discussions were filled with genuine enthusiasm and a desire to create something great together. These are the moments that remind me why I am committed to this project.
